Tasks
-Skillfully handle and maneuver different types of vehicles and equipment, ensuring their safe operation during loading, transit, and unloading activities -Accurately position and secure waste bins in designated areas, ensuring they are recorded and tracked correctly using the provided tracking system -Maintain clear and regular communication with the dispatch team to optimize routes, meet customer requirements, and enhance overall operational efficiency -Support various operational tasks at the recycling facility as required, including helping with equipment maintenance, organizing materials, and ensuring the overall smooth running of facility processes -Conduct thorough inspections of all transported materials to verify they match the accompanying documentation and comply with safety and regulatory standards -Follow all safety protocols and guidelines established by SECURE Energy and customer sites to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents -Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices at all times

What You Bring
-Heavy equipment operating experience is required. -Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems. -Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. -Be prepared to maintain a regular weekday schedule while also being available for additional hours as needed to meet operational demands -Excellent time management and organizational skills to plan routes and meet delivery schedules. -Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, dispatchers, and team members. -Solid knowledge base with respect to Hours of Service, Load Securement, and Driving Regulations. -Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. -Ability to adapt to changing road conditions and weather situations while maintaining safety. -Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record. -Solid understanding of Canadian geography, highway systems, and rules. -Minimum of 3 years driving experience in the transportation industry or demonstrated competency. -Basic computer skills for completing electronic logs and documentation. -Knowledge of waste management and recycling industry practices is a plus. -Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected challenges during transport. -Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks and to perform vehicle inspections. -Experience operating various types of transportation equipment, such as flatbeds, tankers, and heavy-duty trucks.
