The Role

Overview

Manage bi-weekly payroll, resolve issues, and ensure accurate employee compensation.

Tasks

-Collaborate to improve processes and workflows -Support HR by gathering and coding time records -Prepare necessary reports -Assist with payroll-related general ledger reconciliations -Individuals in this position are required to stay current on all training and ongoing education initiatives. They are expected to actively pursue self-improvement and embrace opportunities for continuous learning to enhance their skills and knowledge. -Process wage attachments (child support, garnishments, etc.) -Use discretion and maintain confidentiality -This role involves actively participating in all staff activities aimed at fostering teamwork, unity, and morale. The individual will contribute as a collaborative team player, working alongside colleagues to create a supportive and cohesive work environment. -Partner with the other HR teams, accounting teams to improve workflows, and resolve discrepances -Be the first point of contact for employee payroll questions -The individual in this position is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by actively preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and promoting safe working practices. -Verify worked hours, PTO, and overtime -Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with strong organization -Analyze and resolve discrepancies -Liaise between employees, supervisors, and teams, providing clear communication and strong customer service -Handle bi-weekly payrolls for exempt and non-exempt staff -Maintain deduction records and reconcile payables -Provide backup for payroll colleagues -Ensure accurate timesheets and apply needed adjustments following company protocol

What You Bring

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization is required of this role. -This role is not anticipated to travel. -This position may need to lift up to fifteen (15) pounds. -Associates degree with minimum of two (2) years of payroll experience is required -This position may involve a range of physical activities, including those outlined in the Essential Duties, but is not limited to them. This position may need to walk or stand for extended periods, especially when conducting safety inspections, audits or incident investigations. -Proficiency in HR software is required. Experience with Paylocity is a plus. -This position may need to move through areas of the corporate office or other worksites of the organization. -Knowledge of multi-state pay, Missouri required. -Demonstrate attention to detail -Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is required. -Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism -Experience in senior living, construction, home health, hospice, and/or pharmacy is a plus. -This position is required to work onsite at the St. Louis Dover Companies headquarters.
