The Role

Overview

Perform finishing, grinding, polishing, and packaging of water solution components.

Tasks

-Perform a variety of finishing techniques (wet or dry) to meet production demands. -Apply quality standards specific to each surface type. -Conduct patch and repair operations. -Set up and operate finishing equipment. -Operate applicable computer systems and scanning tools. -Follow Bill of Materials and print shop documentation. -Assist in training new or existing department employees. -Comply with all company safety policies. -Adhere to standard operating procedures within the department/cell. -Support the implementation of new product lines. -Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees. -Support department metrics and productivity goals. -Collaborate effectively with team members across departments. -Troubleshoot and resolve minor production issues. -Promote and maintain a positive work environment. -Maintain parts replenishment systems. -Use department-specific tools and measuring equipment effectively. -Support production scheduling within the work cell. -Maintain a clean-shaven face for proper respirator fit. -Identify and recognize part numbers accurately. -Follow scrap-out procedures. -Take ownership of additional projects and duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor or company leadership -Package and label products according to procedures.

What You Bring

-Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses. -Complete industrial lift truck certifications as needed. -Successfully complete pulmonary function and respirator fit tests. -Close vision and color vision -Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment. Respirators are required; therefore, successful completion of pulmonary function and fit tests are required. -Ability to stand for long periods of time. -Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). -Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. -Punctuality and dependability. -Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions. -Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts. -Understand and follow applicable laws, codes, and safety practices. -Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor. -3+ years of finishing and/or manufacturing experience -Previous experience working in the composite industry -Respirators may be required; therefore, successful completion of pulmonary function and fit tests may be required. Proper Respirator fit requires a clean shaven face. -High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience. -Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds. -Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable. -Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
