Detail commercial and civil rebar projects using 3D software for Nucor Rebar Fabrication.

Tasks

-Using hands to operate objects, tools, computers and other electronic equipment -Verify drawings, dates, specification, addenda and other contractual information from routing sheet or direct from Business system. -Communicate with A/E, steel placer and customer on all questions relating to project. -Enter all drawings for submission in drawing tracking system. -Identify and develop information required to inform the customer of any changes to the contract. Work with little supervision to address changes with customer, produce change-order documents and enter into Business system. -Generate required reports in Business System to assist in management of project(s). -Work with job site personnel to determine project requirements for both detailing and delivery of material. -Develop skills with Tekla and other 3D-based modeling systems. -Address Contract Adds and Deducts – include supervisor for more complex requirements -Detail/model: accessories, mesh, couplers and dowel bars and prepare material lists as required.

-Must adhere to Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s safety programs and standards. -Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. -Prior experience with 3D software (Revit, Solidworks, Sketchup, etc) -Some international travel may be required for training on product -Moderate noise level -Lifting/handling computers and related equipment -Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication’s vision and values. -Must be able to work overtime when required -Vision abilities including close vision and adjusting focus -Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting issued from an accredited school or college or equivalent combination of training and work experience. -Working knowledge of industry reference material (CRSI and ACI) -Approximately 18 months of experience as a Rebar Detailer with Nucor Rebar Fabrication Detailing System -Ability to independently detail, model, and coordinate moderately complex small projects
