Oversee construction, contracts, QA and reporting for DoD projects at Tyndall AFB

Tasks

-Delivers recommendations regarding compliance to contract provisions and exercises engineering judgment to assist in the development of solutions between conflicting plan details or requirements which become evident as construction progresses. -Reviews contractor's submittals including QA and Safety Plans. -Analyzes design and construction issues with respect to contract requirements. -Responsible for observation and reporting on assigned projects to government personnel. -Make technical interpretations of drawings and specifications; provide engineering determinations on meeting the contract requirements. -Reviews drawings and specifications. -Assists in preparation of scope of work modifications and cost estimates. -Assist in preparing documents for change orders and claims. -Reviews schedule items and pay applications to ensure balance with percentages for each corresponding work feature or component of work. -Provides field surveillance and delivers daily detailed reports. -Provides safety oversight. -Review submittals, respond to contractor questions, RFIs, construction deficiencies, project issues, requests for equitable adjustment, and claims. -Oversees construction, contract administration, and quality assurance activities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

What You Bring

-Experience with Three-Phase QC/Inspection process -Experience with Resident Management System (RMS) -10 years of experience on large complex multimillion dollar federal construction projects, preferably Department of Defense -Experience preferred EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual -Facilities experience with administrative buildings, airfield facilities and apron, barracks, water and electrical systems, and roadways. -Bachelor’s Degree in related field -Utilize Resident Management System (RMS).
