Tasks

-Serve as technical subject matter expert during bid cycles, RFP responses, RFIs, and due diligence. -Collaborate with Business Development to prepare turnkey deliverables, including site plans, energy models, and proposal inclusions/exclusions. -Support design updates based on as-built conditions in partnership with Project Operations and Engineering teams. -Present optimized technical solutions to clients, clearly articulating performance benefits and bottom-line impact. -Ensure seamless project transition by preparing risk and opportunity registries that support efficient execution handoff. -Lead technical development and optimization for proposals, producing substantiated LCOE design packages to support client-facing strategy. -Own the development of site-specific design parameters, non-standard item evaluation, and P(50) energy production estimates using industry-standard tools (e.g., PVSyst). -Direct site plan creation and client approval processes prior to project turnover to the Operations Team. -Stay ahead of the curve through participation in industry conferences focused on PV, energy storage, and repowering technologies. -Provide sensitivity analysis around technologies and design decisions, incorporating cost-benefit modeling and production trade-offs. -Review and interpret technical documents, site layouts, and one-line diagrams to identify risks and opportunities.

What You Bring

-Comprehension of scope of work documents, proposal requirements, and EPC contracting models. -Familiarity with financial modeling and understanding of energy project cash flows. -Experience working across cross functional teams. -Experience in a customer facing role presenting information on behalf of the business. -Hands-on experience with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) design and integration. -Proficiency in interpreting and producing technical drawings: major equipment layouts, one-lines, site plans. -Advanced use of modeling software (PVSyst, AutoCAD) and programming tools (Excel macros, Python). -Proven track record in utility-scale PV design and engineering, with experience in proposal development or early-stage project design. -Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or EIT working toward licensure. -ABET-accredited Engineering degree.
