Project Controls Manager

Description

• Maintain high client satisfaction throughout project phases.
• Guide the preparation, monitoring, and adjustment of project schedules.
• Prepare and analyze cost and progress reports, ensuring timely delivery to stakeholders.
• Oversee documentation processes, including compliance with the Master Document Register (MDR).
• Monitor and allocate resources effectively to achieve operational objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve project control processes.
• Analyze cost reports and audits to ensure accurate allocation and compliance.
• Ensure schedules align with project goals and deliverables.
• Set team priorities and coordinate activities to meet deadlines and project objectives.
• Manage change orders and minimize additional costs from subcontractors.
• Oversee project cost management, including monthly updates, forecasting, and invoicing.
• Uphold and lead a culture of safety, ensuring zero incidents across projects.
• Supervise and mentor Cost Control Specialists, providing technical guidance and professional development opportunities.
• Lead project risk and opportunity reviews, identifying proactive solutions to potential challenges.
• Promote a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
• Manage relationships with clients and subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant deliverables.
• Work closely with subcontractors and project teams to maintain compliance with safety requirements.
• Lead client and subcontractor meetings, issuing minutes of meetings (MOM) and ensuring follow-ups.
• Develop and implement cost control procedures and methods.

Requirements

• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
• Proficient in risk assessment and mitigation planning.
• InEight (Advanced)
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling techniques and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Construction Management, Accounting, Economics, or related degree.
• Strong expertise in cost control, budget management, and financial reporting.
• Skilled in problem-solving and decision-making in complex, dynamic environments.
• Critical Path Method scheduling theories (Basic)
• In-depth understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
• Data Analysis (Advanced)
• Proven ability to manage and develop teams, including mentoring and training.
• Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced)

• Ability to reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motions.
• 5–10 years of experience in project controls or a related field.
