Develop and maintain power system simulation models for various software platforms.

Tasks

-To contribute to writing technical reports for the Base models to facilitate the ease of using the models. -To develop base models and component development in PSCAD, PSSE Dig SILENT, Power Factory and EMTP-RV for Power electronics-based applications. -To create extensive contact with engineering groups (Power Quality, Power conversion and LP STATCOM), -software’s and develop scalable models and maintain them in line with control platform changes. -You will be responsible for model troubleshooting, fault tracing issues and supporting customers in adapting the models to the customer-specific networks. -You will be contributing to providing Simulation model benchmarking in different simulation software and understanding grid codes and adapting the models in accordance with the requirements. -You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. -You will diligently follow the process and guidelines around model delivery thereby ensuring the quality and on time delivery of the simulation model. -To understand the customer requirements and develop models for customers in the above-mentioned

What You Bring

-Zeal to explore the potential of different simulation software. -Experience in PSSE Dig SILENT Power Factory and EMTP-RV will be added advantage. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Curiosity to explore and continuously learn changing power system landscape. -Good knowledge of Power Systems equipment and their purpose. -Required good knowledge of PSCAD, Python, MATLAB and C. -Application engineering, and Product management. -Familiar with IEEE/CIGRE guidelines for simulation model development. -Understanding application of Power Electronics in HV/EHV system -Required MTech degree with experience 0 – 3years in ME Power system and ME Power Electronics, simulation tools. -Experience in performing power system studies like load flow, short circuit, transient stability and switching
