Test Engineer

Overview

Lead hardware QA plans, testing, root cause analysis, and cross‑team quality assurance.

Tasks

-Refine a quality review process and sign-off with our Manufacturing CM. -Ensure that defects and failures are identified and tracked to resolution using industry-standard defect tracking and resolution tools. -Develop and maintain quality documentation, including test plans, test reports, and inspection procedures. -Investigate and troubleshoot product or production issues. -Lead and sign off on the ECO process and design reviews. -Drive RMA reviews, investigations, and testing data collection, sharing findings with the organization. -Participate in design reviews to provide quality input. -Provide technical expertise and support during product development and launch. -Lead Verification & Validation planning and execution of new feature and product version releases. -Review engineering drawings and design change documentation for compliance with internal standards. -Conduct sampling and testing of various components in the testing lab to ensure vendor compliance. -Analyze data from various sources to identify trends and drive data-driven decision-making. -Interface with outside vendors and suppliers to support product quality. -Support the design and implementation of test fixturing required for product testing. -Participate in engineering sample builds and reviews to ensure objectives and success criteria are defined.

What You Bring

-Electromechanical experience with product integration is a major plus. -Strong skills in design verification, validation, and quality planning. -Experience using PLM tools such as Omnify. -Experience in hardware testing, quality engineering, and test engineering. -Ability to work independently and manage new product development. -Proficient in writing test plans and protocols. -Strong knowledge of product development tollgate processes. -Experience in both large and small company environments. -Proficiency in risk management tools such as DFMEA/PFMEA. -Experience working at an automation provider or OEM of large similar equipment. -Experience with reliability plans and testing is preferred. -Familiarity with test procedures, test planning, and design verification. -Competency in problem-solving tools/methods such as DOE, Fault trees, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
