The Role
Overview
Assist supply chain team with purchasing, inventory monitoring, analysis, and ERP tasks.

Tasks
-Act as liaison between departments through meetings, telephone contact, and written correspondence. -Assist and perform various department functions, including purchasing/planning for selected product lines, monitor inventory levels, use capacity and priority to manage the supply chain for production, purchase, and/or stock transfer orders, document procedures, analyses, attendance and documentation of meetings -Learn about Lindsay’s products, international and domestic distribution channels, procedures, personnel, production locations, philosophies, and strategies. -Provide analytical support by completing a wide variety of on-going opportunities in Supply Chain Management (SCM) in functional areas of strategic supply, tactical supply, enterprise planning and supply chain design & analytics. -Undertake an assigned supply chain project to be completed during the internship period and include a presentation to leadership at Lindsay.

What You Bring
-Learn relevant computer software used in the department related to enterprise resource planning, demand analysis and sales & operations planning. -Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize problems and recommend solutions to problems -Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies -Strong attention to detail and accuracy -Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision -Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines -Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes, procedures and decisions to internal customers -Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint -Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop ideas and solutions -Current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status working towards a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or related field of study
