  • Performing/overseeing corridor and pre-design studies, alternatives analysis and report preparation, with primary focus on MnDOT and with the goal of positioning AECOM for follow-on design work. County and City planning pursuits and assignments are also likely.
  • Facilitating public and agency outreach; overseeing all aspects of transportation planning projects including cost estimates, alternatives analysis, schedule, and budget.
  • Working with an interdisciplinary team of technical specialists and managing their project-delivery efforts, including roadway, traffic, rail, ITS, bridge structures, environmental, water resources, others.
  • Building an AECOM transportation planning capability in Minnesota, in close partnership and collaboration with our regional transportation planning centers of excellence.
  • Assisting with (and leading as appropriate) proposals and business development for planning opportunities, as an integrated member of AECOM’s Minnesota client service team.
  • Support regional transportation planning business development and project execution across the Greater West region of AECOM, as part of our regional transportation planning centers of excellence.

  • Specific project experience in transportation infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated technical writing and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with environmental review requirements in Minnesota.
  • BA/BS in Transportation, Traffic, Planning or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing MnDOT's Project Development Process.
  • Demonstrated Corridor planning experience in Minnesota.
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills working in a matrixed organization.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years combined experience in project management, traffic, and/or transportation planning.
  • Established relationships at the MnDOT, Metropolitan Council, and/or Minnesota county level.
  • Demonstrated experience in winning work/projects through business development and RFP's, bids, etc.
  • BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Familiarity with roadway design standards (e.g., AASHTO, NACTO, etc.)
