  • Manage multiple engineering projects from inception through to delivery in support of fire safety standards and codes while also supporting junior team members.
  • Work in a range of sectors from residential buildings through to rail transportation or new energy facilities.
  • Support junior team members and act as technical reviewer on project submissions.
  • Review and comment on the quality of fire safety related installations.
  • Undertake tenders for new work and develop client relationships to develop potential work opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, take part in design team meetings, and liaise with client representatives as required.
  • Keep up to date with regulations and legislation.
  • Work on a wide range of projects and sectors including some of the most prestigious projects in the UK.
  • Support the delivery of project work and keeping track of evolving project milestones and budgets.
  • Assess fire related risks in projects and working collaboratively to mitigate where possible.
  • Support the development of fire strategies.

  • Ability to collate information and have a clear and structured approach to report writing.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance, ideally without caveats would be highly beneficial.
  • Good commercial awareness and customer focused.
  • Engineering degree, preferably fire engineering or alternatively a post graduate qualification in fire engineering (Applicants with different backgrounds also considered).
  • Working towards chartered fire engineer status.
  • 10+ years in fire engineering roles including roles outside of consultancy.
  • Strong experience working with multiple of fire standards including but not limited to BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, EN45545.
  • Fire modelling experience will be beneficial.
  • Demonstrate a strong record of successfully delivering fire strategies.
