CFO, Outsourced Accounting - Construction Industry Clients

Tasks

-Provide technical accounting assistance to clients and internal team. -Direct point of contact for construction client engagements. -Provides general advisory services to clients via scheduled remote meetings. -Research and share knowledge of best practices in areas of business concern or interest to each client. -Advise client on process improvement in their accounting department and internal controls. -Partners with client accounting staff and to maintain and foster relationships within construction industry. -Review financial statements, contracts in progress schedule, management reports and other key performance indicators for accuracy. -Responsible for managing and finalizing the accounting period close. -Mentor and train direct reports to grow in their roles and responsibilities. -Manage financial reporting accuracy for clients and Board of Directors. -Manage a remote accounting team including job time budgets and job profitability.

What You Bring

-US GAAP and financial statement analytic experience preferred. -Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CCIFP) preferred but not required. -10 years of advanced, hands on, full cycle accounting experience that includes financial statement and work in progress schedule preparation within the construction industry. -Embrace new technology, including various accounting software and demonstrate the ability to adapt and learn quickly. -Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. -*This role required 5-10% travel annually. -Previous public accounting experience preferred. -Minimum of 4 years supervisory experience. -Proven ability to build and manage relationships. -Experience with a Contracts in Progress (Work in Progress) schedule is preferred.
