Tasks

-Supporting the delivery of the RMC daily reports, major incident reports and monthly performance reports -Ensuring equipment faults or availability that are impacting operations are reported to the RMC Supervisor immediately -Managing the coordination of emergency works with zonal and strategic highways framework contractors -Support the regular review and update of standard operating procedures and response plans -Monitoring operator compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the RMC and Tunnel Control Rooms. -Identify performance improvement opportunities for congestion, incident and major event traffic management -Regularly updating the RMC Supervisor during escalated events and incidents that RMC and Tunnels Control Rooms are managing or supporting -Manage the RMC and Tunnels zonal operations to achieve the performance SLAs for network, corridor, junction and incident management -Line management responsibility for the RMC/Tunnels Operators in the shift team -Ensuring incident detection monitoring and response are achieving performance SLAs -Monitoring SCATS and ATMS interventions and liaising with the SCATS engineering team to manage short term congestion and corridor performance recovery following incidents and manual interventions -Ensuring RMC and Tunnels Operators are following Standard Operating Procedures, emergency plans and severe weather response plans where applicable -Ensuring traffic management response plans and DMS messaging plans are set and removed in accordance with scheduled traffic diversion plans (TDP) and supporting major events -Staying updated on industry best practices and innovative technologies in roads operations -Coordinating operations with key stakeholders such as Drainage Management Centre, Ministry of Interior, Baladiya and Hamad Medical Corporation to safely manage incidents and events

What You Bring

-Knowledge of Qatar or Middle East road standards and regulations -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail -Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities -Proficiency in English required, proficiency in Arabic is desirable -Experience operating traffic and tunnel control room systems (Genetec, SCATS, ATMS, SCADA etc.) -Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment -Strong knowledge of road infrastructure maintenance and operations, particularly in Qatar or the Middle East region -Minimum of 5 years’ experience with a minimum of 3 years of Traffic Operations and Control Room experience -Proficient in MS Office Suite and relevant road management software -Bachelor's degree or Diploma
