Tasks
-Recruits, selects, coaches, and develops team leadership, engineering, and support staff within the IT department. Manages professional growth and development plans. -Assists with defining enterprise IT policies and procedures to ensure the protection of information assets. -A/B Testing & Optimization: Partner with UX/Product teams to define hypotheses, measure the impact of A/B tests and site feature rollouts, and use data from all three platforms to create a continuous optimization roadmap -Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by supporting strategic plans for implementing and supporting information technologies. -Establishes operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results of the area. Focus is on short-term operational plans (e.g., 1 year or less). -Typically, does not have budget accountability, but may manage certain processes or projects within a defined budget set by management. -Translates and champions IT strategy to functional unit. -Manages a small to mid-sized team consisting of experienced professionals. Leads, directs and reviews the work of team who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments. -Deep-Dive Analysis: Conduct rigorous analyses using advanced segmentation, funnel analysis, and attribution modeling to uncover root causes for trends in traffic, conversion rates, and revenue. -Conducts performance and development reviews per HR guidelines. Takes corrective actions, including Performance Improvement Plans and terminations, when necessary. -Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as the trusted data advisor to Product Managers, Marketing Leaders, and Engineering teams, aligning measurement strategy with business objectives and providing data-driven recommendations. -Reporting & Dashboards: Define, develop, and maintain automated, executive-level dashboards and recurring reports in tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Adobe Workspace that clearly communicate website performance and marketing ROI. -May lead problem management teams comprised of senior engineering resources in solving high-complexity, high-impact enterprise issues. -Builds and maintains strong partnerships with IT leadership. -Platform Ownership & Governance: Own the technical implementation, configuration, and data governance for Google Analytics (GA4), Adobe Analytics, and Quantum Metric, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance. -Experience Analytics: Leverage the session replay, heatmapping, and frustration metrics within Quantum Metric to identify customer pain points, conversion bottlenecks, and technical errors in real-time. -Works with senior leadership to develop team goals in line with department objectives. -Provides measurable input to new products, processes or standards in operational plans in order to implement organizational strategies. -Typically, has hiring, firing, promotion and reward authority within own area, in accordance with manager review and approval. -Achieves financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action within functional unit. -Manages vendor relationships with hardware and software solutions and tools. -Team Development: If managing a team, provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, prioritizing their workload and fostering a culture of curiosity and data literacy. -Data Integrity: Proactively monitor data streams for discrepancies, troubleshoot tracking issues with development teams, and enforce quality assurance (QA) processes to maintain the highest level of data quality. -Tagging & Tracking: Design, implement, and audit comprehensive tracking plans and tagging strategies (via Google Tag Manager or Adobe Launch) to capture all critical user interactions, conversion funnels, and business KPIs. -Manages a team with focus on policy and strategy implementation.
