Tasks

-Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors -Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates -Procure vendors and contractors for current and future projects. -Create take-offs and matrixes for the projects -Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors -Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures -Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work -Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates -Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction team to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues -Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products

What You Bring

-Experience working on both commercial and residential new ground up and complex renovation projects within the construction industry -Excellent interpersonal communication skills -Effective communication, written and verbal -Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction industry -Understanding of market labor, and commodity conditions and impacts on construction costs -High standard of ethics, integrity and trust -Excellent analytical and negotiation skills -Ability to interpret and read construction drawings and blue prints -Proficient in Microsoft-Excel, Word, Microsoft, and Procore -Strong ability to self motivate and work without supervision -Strong math skills -Knowledge of contracts, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, shop drawings, schedules, labor agreements and local codes -Experience with construction contracts and negotiation -Able to work as a team leader to motivate in a high energy and sense of urgency environment.
