Tasks

-Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities -Provide guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and other project team members -May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear -Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist -Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings -Provide professional services for wastewater engineering projects to include design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors -Encourages innovation without compromising client needs or work quality -Provide professional services for the design and construction of wastewater collection systems, and wastewater treatment facilities -Gather critical data to assist clients with project financing and funding development -Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments and maintain quality client relationships and communication -Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight -Work within multi-discipline projects that include civil, electrical, and architectural aspects -Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work

What You Bring

-Possesses a "listen-first" mentality -Ability to travel as required for business development and project/client responsibilities -Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously -Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering -Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 3 months -6+ years of experience in municipal civil engineering with a strong interest in the wastewater market sector -Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook -Success leading water, water resources, and/or wastewater projects of moderate size -May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds -Design work and knowledge with wastewater treatment and collection systems, utility planning, and other municipal vertical and horizontal infrastructure -Experience leading both internal initiatives and external projects -Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field -All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations -Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. -May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town -Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously -Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain -Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time -Enjoys contributing to the overall success of a team through guidance, mentoring, and leadership
