The Role

Overview

Manage national fitness and pool facilities for Defence contract, ensuring safety and compliance.

Tasks

-Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and defence industry standards. -Ensure all fitness equipment is in good working order and the facility meets health and safety standards. -Manage the day-to-day operations of the fitness centre, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all users. -Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing member inquiries, resolving complaints, and implementing feedback systems. -Contribute to the organisation’s reputation as a trusted provider of fitness and aquatic services.

What You Bring

-Demonstrate a strong focus on leadership, service excellence, stakeholder engagement, operational consistency, and develop a culture of safety and accountability across all centres. -Tertiary Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or a related field. -Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police. -First Aid and CPR certification is mandatory. -Relevant fitness certifications such as Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Group Fitness Instructor (GFI), or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) is advantageous.
