Risk Manager

Overview

Lead risk management for KSPC Bethune expansion, advising leadership on risks.

Tasks

-Monitor and communicate critical risks/issues in weekly meetings. -Manage risk portfolios and generate actionable insights. -Support risk owners in recording and updating risks/issues and related details. -Advise senior stakeholders on risk posture, contingency planning, and escalation protocols. -Collaborate with planning, cost, and engineering teams to align risk strategies with project delivery goals. -Conduct routine assessments to track progress and identify gaps in mitigation efforts. -Shape project outcomes by identifying emerging risks and driving mitigation strategies early in the lifecycle. -Lead cross-functional risk identification, assessment, and treatment workshops and drive consensus on mitigation strategies. -Champion a culture of risk awareness, transparency, and continuous improvement across the project team. -Engage with all project disciplines to identify and manage area-specific risks. -Review and integration of contractor reports for new risks/issues and ensure updates are reflected in the risk register. -Serve as a strategic advisor to project leadership, influencing key decisions through risk insights. -Maintain consistent reporting timelines and ensure data accuracy.

What You Bring

-Sword ARM or similar risk management software would be beneficial. -Experience or understanding with quantitative risk models (QCRA/QSRA) to inform cost and schedule forecasts would be beneficial -Skills in SharePoint -Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel; SharePoint, Power Apps, and Forms is an asset. -Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. -4 years of direct risk management experience. -10-15 years of relevant experience with a university degree in engineering, construction, or business.
