The Role

Sell flooring and design spaces, provide customer service, and prospect new clients.

Tasks

-Sell flooring, granite, blinds and custom services to clients -Use computer database to research the availability of merchandise and to process orders -Provide outstanding customer service -Help work through, and follow-up after, the completion of each job -Maintain showroom by keeping samples and displays neat, current, and clean -Answer questions from customers about flooring and other products/services -Write sales orders -Keep up-to-date on the wide select of floors and products we have to offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each -Follow up in a timely and professional manner with all customers on requests and/or concerns -Execute targeted sales strategies -Assist customers with choices based on needs (explain features/benefits, etc.) -Greet customers on the sales floor, and determine their wants and needs -Build client relationships -Complete measures of spaces in homes or businesses -Help customers with their choice through decorating and/or design advice

What You Bring

-Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office programs and a willingness to learn our operating systems -Retail sales experience strong preferred but not required -A passion for, or experience with, decorating or design -Able to provide exceptional follow-up. -Network regularly, and work effectively, with other store employees -Must have access to reliable transportation in order to get to work, and to visit customers' home (as necessary) -Personal or professional experience with remodeling. -Willing to divide his or her work time between the showroom floor and prospecting for new clients (out networking within the community). -Willing to undergo our extensive product and sales training in order to become certified flooring and design expert. -Able to provide outstanding customer service. -Personally well-organized.
