Tasks

-Examine contracts involving design and construction projects, leases, insurance, corporate governance etc. -Develop relationships and collaboratively partner with internal stakeholders to assess legal and business risks and support the implementation of suitable mitigation remedies -Manage projects successfully to completion -Reviews various agreements and documents -Work closely with other departments to foresee and protect company against legal risks -Provide legal advice to the organization -Prepare reports, guidelines and participates in the management of legal actions

-Experience with the preparation, review, and negotiation of design and construction contracts -Service oriented mindset. -Demonstrated growth in leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams, take initiative in complex legal matters, mentor colleagues, and contribute to strategic decision-making. -Experience with managing and resolving engineering and construction disputes and litigation -Minimum of five years of legal experience, preferably in a engineering and construction law practice or corporate legal department for same. -Willing to travel 15 to 20 percent. -Capable of managing multiple projects at a time and successfully to completion. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Sharepoint) -Excellent writing, communication and problem-solving skills -Excellent presentation skills -Juris Doctor Degree, licensed to practice law in applicable state(s) -Team player with good business acumen and problem-solving skills -Ability to research and provide guidance on compliance related issues throughout the company
