Tasks
-Stay up to date with the latest technology and industry practices and find practical applications. -Understand and develop the capability of quality checking in the 3D models for interferences and constructability optimizations. -Independently applies knowledge and ensures compliance with quality program. Establishes related processes and promotes a culture that is conducive to quality. Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts. -Seek ways to improve customer satisfaction, the quality of the work product, and operating efficiencies. -Resolve comments on checked drawings; understand and implement the comments made. -Design electrical raceway systems including duct bank, tray, and above ground conduit or model 3D equipment items for power plant systems including simple cycle gas balance of plant systems. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Plan and develop drawings for production work including problem analysis, design layout and calculations. -Complete as-builts by utilizing RFIs, ECNs and red-marked drawings from construction to develop “Conformed to Construction Records” as required. -Proactively provides guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes -Route cable through raceway design ensuring applicable codes and fill is adhered to working in collaboration with engineering -Help develop, review, and implement guidelines and procedures to ensure design standardization and templating of our PowerFLX work. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Check design for consistency, safety, operability, quality, and maintenance requirements before submitting to checking. -Interpret and incorporate design codes and specifications related to design requirements.

What You Bring
-Ability to utilize both 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings. -Able to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks with set expectations. -Two (2) years of experience in related work field -Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check. -Basic understanding of electrical raceway layouts and field drawings. -Basic understanding of design software such as: E3D, Plant 3D, Smartplant 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel to develop the design deliverables. Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs. -Participates in team environment effectively. Accepts direction from the team. Individually contributes to the success of the team. -Comfortable with change and ambiguity; adaptable, collaborative and a systems thinker -Clear understanding of construction and constructability practices & principles -Associate degree in drafting technology, design or related fields or High School Diploma with Relevant coursework/experience -Supports project teams and departments in a positive and productive manner. Works well with others to accomplish common goals and objectives. -Raceway or electrical modeling Experience in EPC Power Industry -Ability to work collaboratively with others including, but not limited to Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and constructability personnel in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish our goals. -Working knowledge of technical aspects of the proposal and estimate process -Aconex Document Controls software knowledge -U.S. work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized Visa. -Owner or Client engineering background
