Tasks

-Research various factual and legal issues and collaborate with senior attorneys about strategies -Examination of records and transactions underlying business disputes and investigations as to potential client claims -Take and defend depositions -Represent our clients in courtroom and mediation/arbitration proceedings -Maintains high standards of performance -Draft memoranda, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, briefs, etc. -Collaborate with colleagues across departments to provide comprehensive legal support to our clients

What You Bring

-Federal or state judicial clerkship experience preferred -Must have Juris Doctorate degree with an ABA accredited law school and be an active member in good standing of the bar -Experience in complex commercial litigation and/or bankruptcy preferred -Must have a professional, cooperative, positive and flexible attitude -Demonstrated high level organizational skills for prioritizing workload -Exhibits conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility -The firm requires a minimum of 1800 billable hours annually -Admission to New York and/or Massachusetts bar preferred -Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment -Ability to work with diverse personalities within various levels of the organization -Demonstrated ability to absorb, process and understand new information rapidly -Military experience welcome -Must have excellent research and writing skills -4-7+ years’ experience in litigation required -Admission to Connecticut bar required -Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing -Experience with Connecticut State Court and Federal Court practice required
