Overview

Tasks

-Conduct bridge inspections, load rating analyses, seismic evaluations, and retrofit/rehabilitation studies -Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets along with performing analysis of complex structures -Prepare design calculations and drawings in accordance with applicable design codes, and also prepare engineering reports and other technical documents -Provide support during construction, including submittal reviews and site visits and perform other responsibilities as required -Assist senior engineers in proposals, project coordination, and client communications -Prepare standard construction documents, such as technical specifications and tender documents

What You Bring

-Hold a bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred), be registered as California PE in the home state or can obtain within 12 months of employment, and with a minimum of 5+ years of related experience in Bridge Design, or an equivalent -Be familiar with the use of structural design codes such as AASHTO along with having sufficient exposure to structural analysis software programs (ex: SOFiSTiK, CSiBridge, MIDAS. LARSA) -Be conversant in the use of engineering software such as Excel, and Mathcad to efficiently produce engineering calculations -Be knowledgeable in parametric conceptual designs, the use of programming environments like Grasshopper and Dynamo would be beneficial

Benefits

Base compensation: $82,000 to $110,000 for San Diego location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set and/or location.
