Tasks

-Performs record keeping/document control for HAZCOM, training etc., including various reports to Owner. -Administers Vaughn’s and Owner’s safety program requirements. -Assists in developing and maintain hazard analysis documentation. -Leads/performs accident investigations. -Stays current on safety regulations. -Helps to develop specific on-site programs, as required. -Reports worker's compensation claims and performs onsite worker's compensation claims administration for Vaughn employees’ and trade contractor employees’ injuries. -Administers first aid, CPR, AED when necessary. -Performs site audits for unsafe practices and conditions, makes recommendations and/or knows specific regulation on proper corrections. -Trains personnel on proper safety procedures.

What You Bring

-Good organizational and planning skills. -Strong computer skills including MS Office, Email, PDF. -Effective communication and interpersonal skills -Must be bi-lingual or have means to translate between English and Spanish. -Ability to maintain credibility with appropriate audiences each day. -Current OSHA 510 training within four years. -Working knowledge, experience, and documented continuing education in fall protection, scaffolds, excavation, confined space, crane/equipment operations, electrical, and incident investigation. -Current emergency first aid, CPR, AED training within two years. -Ability to deal with a variety of people from craft workers to project Owners. -Maintains excellent attendance and punctuality. -Minimum of six years of experience in construction safety, with a minimum of five years in building construction safety.
