Tasks

-Safety First: Actively promote and participate in our Accident Prevention and Safety and Health programs. -Collaborative Planning: Coordinate daily work routines to ensure efficient production and contribute to the overall success of projects. -Effective Communication: Gather essential information through various sources, including field notes, vendor catalogs, and site visits, to inform your work. -Detailed Documentation: Create, revise, and maintain comprehensive engineering records and material/property equipment documentation. -This position may require shift work or overtime. -Cost Management: Prepare estimates and requisitions as needed, ensuring budget adherence. -Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior employees, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. -Quality Assurance: Review and check work performed by peers to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and compliance with company methods. -Innovative Drafting: Utilize computer-aided design software, including Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and PLS-CADD to prepare and maintain high-quality maps, sketches, schematics, and engineering-related drawings. -Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside various departments to ensure safety and efficiency in all operations. -Design Validation: Assess designs for strength and conformity to accepted standards and integrate vendor specifications into your work.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in Vault -Advanced Design Skills: Demonstrate your design expertise with a focus on quality and compliance, while working under direct to moderate supervision. -Must meet all vehicle operation requirements as designated by federal and/or state law. -Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor -Must be available to work overtime, call-out overtime and shift work, as required. -Familiarity with PLS-CADD -Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. -Mathematical Precision: Perform necessary calculations to ensure accuracy in all assigned tasks. -Travel requirements are expected > 50 % of the time. -Must be familiar with conventional drafting symbols and drafting methods and have the ability to distinguish colors. -Occasional overnight travel to and work within a substation or power plant environment in obedience to all safety regulations and use of personal protection equipment. -Proficiency in AutoCAD
