Overview
Inspect and ensure quality of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems at an airport.

Tasks
-Conducts on-site inspections of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with approved construction documents, specifications, and contract requirements. -Ensures contractor adherence to safety standards and conducts daily safety inspections. -Monitors contractor performance and compliance with mechanical system standards and building codes. -Records daily observations and reports any noncompliance issues. -Reviews and approves pay applications related to mechanical work. -Provides technical guidance on mechanical system installations, including HVAC, piping, and equipment. -Provides construction inspection and quality assurance services on multiple or complex mechanical systems projects at an international airport facility. -Ensures compliance with approved construction documents, specifications and contract requirements. -Coordinates and verifies field testing of mechanical systems and materials. -Reviews contractor’s quality control and safety manuals and procedures. -Reviews contractor submittals for constructability and compliance with project specifications. -Reviews contractor submittals for constructability and compliance. -Reviews contractor’s work, inspects delivered materials, and verifies certifications.

What You Bring
-Experience with mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and equipment installations. -Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. -Minimum of 5 years of construction inspection experience, focused on HVAC and mechanical systems -Experience with airport construction projects preferred -Certifications in mechanical or HVAC systems preferred. -High school diploma is required or GED -Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and mechanical system testing procedures.
