Overview

Operate and maintain concrete paver and barrier machines safely and efficiently.

Tasks

-Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment -Follow directions and instructions from supervisors. -Line paver appropriately to the work area, and ensure proper application of the concrete to the desired height, width, and depth -Operate the paver and other heavy equipment in a safe manner -Operate the Paver controls the screed auger, control the hopper, and navigate the direction of the paver -Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Paver. -Work in a variety of weather conditions, including temperatures ranging from over 85 degrees to below 40 degrees. -Maintain and clean the machine every day

What You Bring

-Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted. -Must be able to see and hear well (naturally or with correction). -Knowledge of road construction materials and processes -Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks. -Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. -Valid Driver's License -Ability to use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects. -High School Diploma or G.E.D. -Ability to travel and work overtime, as requested.
