Quality Control Associate

Overview

Test raw and finished concrete products, prepare samples, and ensure ASTM compliance.

Tasks

-Test all products and raw materials and record results -Routine tests of raw materials, calculation of results and preparation of tests reports -Visit manufacturing sites to test machinery and report proposed process improvements -Sampling and reduction of samples -Perform product reject analysis -Inspect all finished goods -Calculate adjustments needed to correct the product if necessary -Obtain product samples and communicate what will be produced -Perform production material test throughout shift -Support manufacturing team in producing the highest quality products -Maintenance and housekeeping of assigned areas and equipment -Preparation of materials and products for testing -Know all ASTM standards that apply and ensure all products meet these standards

What You Bring

-Knowledge of concrete product sizes, shapes, and colors -Production experience in a block plant -Knowledge of ASTM standards for manufactured concrete products -High school diploma/equivalent or equivalent Vocational Training/Certification, other related experience or combination of education and experience -Knowledge of electronics and programmable controllers -This position may require a standing position for an extensive amount of time -Familiar with lab equipment -Strong numerical skills -Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company -Knowledge of parts and basic assembly of molds -Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and directions -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs -Computer literate experienced with Microsoft Office software
