Tasks
Under general direction, lead and support the ITS performing skilled work in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of traffic signals and other Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) devices. -Field implementation of traffic control devices as needed (signs, cones, etc.) -Assist in the training of new apprentice and journeyman electricians -Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work -Serves as a proactive customer service & quality ambassador of The Econolite Group, Inc. by representing the organization in a positive, professional manner to support The Brand Promise -May require on-call on-site response for customer call outs, including nights and weekends -May work in various, changing outdoor weather conditions, i.e. rain, heat, snow, etc. -Installation, maintenance, replacement, programming, repair and troubleshooting of street lighting and traffic signals, including traffic signal controllers, cabinets, detection, wiring, signal heads, poles, etc., as well as communications equipment. -Perform all job functions of Master Electrician and any other assignments as requested -Installation, maintenance, replacement, programming, repair and troubleshooting of ITS equipment, including generators, transfer switches, CCTV cameras, video, radar and loop detectors, dynamic message signs, connected vehicle RSU’s, poles, etc. and associated cabinets, cabling, etc. Also to include communications equipment such as managed field ethernet switches, fiber, copper, etc.

What You Bring
All candidates who accept employment will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening. For applicable roles, candidates who accept employment will also be subject to a Motor Vehicle/Driving Record screening. -IMSA Traffic Signal Level I, II or III certification preferred -Ability to troubleshoot and repair problems inherent to traffic signals and other ITS equipment -Ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving, some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds.) -Master Electrician License required -Must be able to stand, walk, squat, and bend at the waist for extended periods of time -Knowledge of principles and practices of Florida traffic control guidelines -Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local codes, laws, and regulations regarding electronics -Required to drive up to five hours a day; ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds -Knowledge of fiber optic cable & networking equipment preferred -Minimum of two (2) years of related experience -Computer software skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications such as MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. -May include travel within Florida and / or within the US -Knowledge of tools, equipment, practices, and methods used in installing, maintaining, and repairing traffic signals, ITS devices and associated equipment -Must have a valid Driver’s License and an acceptable DMV record; commercial driver’s license preferred -FDOT Temporary Traffic Control Certification preferred -Pass all necessary background / pre-employment checks -100% travel to project locations and company facilities across the various counties within the Tampa area. -Ability to interpret design schematics, site plans, maps, & engineering drawings -Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations -Safety sensitive position—will be required to work at busy traffic intersections
