The Role

Overview

Assemble horizontal and vertical pumps, perform grinding, and ensure quality.

Tasks

-Perform detailed grinding on impellers, components, and assemblies to meet exacting specifications. -Coordinate with fellow Assembly Mechanics to ensure efficient workflow and assist with complex tasks. -Follow company and departmental standards and procedures. -Utilize heat treating ovens, oxy-acetylene torches, and liquid nitrogen for precise installation of subcomponents. -Comply with all safety, health, environmental, and quality policies and procedures. -Identify and resolve discrepancies in work instructions by collaborating with Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Planning, and Project Coordination teams. -Assemble horizontal and vertical pumps using hand, air, and power tools, following detailed Engineering Instructions, Drawings, and Work Orders. -Support and participate in company-wide Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs.

What You Bring

-Experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries is preferred. -Experience with centrifugal pumps preferred. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical assembly environment preferred. -High School Diploma or equivalent required. -Basic computer skills.
