Virtual Construction Survey Specialist II

Overview

Collect and process laser scans, UAV data, and survey control for construction projects.

Tasks

-Operation of all survey equipment (Laser scanners, GPS, Total Station, Digital Level, UAV's etc.) -Responsible for collecting and registering point cloud data. -Process drone flight data using industry standard software and techniques. -Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day. -Will interact with people frequently during a shift/work day. -Will lift, push or pull objects up to 50lbs on an occasional basis. -May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors. -Keeps equipment in proper working order. (charging batteries, cleaning, calibrating). -Perform advanced survey calculations to assist Party Chief. -Perform advanced point cloud registration. -Establish and set site survey control using total station and GPS under the supervision of the Party Chief. -May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis. -Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc. -Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis. -Keeps construction / survey documents organized and up to date.

What You Bring

-Comprehensive understanding of construction drawings. (blueprint reading). -Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. -Experience using AutoCad, ReCap and Faro software preferred. -Will work various shifts, including swing, night and weekend. -Ability to acquire FAA part 107 UAV certification. -May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis -Ability to communicate and interface with others. -Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.) -Bachelor degree in related field in lieu of 3 years field survey experience. -3 years survey/ UAV mapping and/or construction staking experience.
