Lead preconstruction for large healthcare projects, managing estimates and teams.

Tasks
-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable scope coverage. -Reviewing and assisting with proposals and other documentation to prepare cost estimates for other large complex projects. -Implement District Estimating Programs, Management reviews and activities. Includes implementing company policies and procedures. -Provide leadership and strategy in subcontractor and vendor selection process. -Coordinate with operations and business development teams to support proposals and presentations. -Maintain current knowledge of healthcare construction codes, standards, and trends. -Leading teams in multiple estimates and pursuits. -Leading a team of estimators and engineers in large pursuits. -Manage and mentor preconstruction and estimating staff, fostering professional development and technical excellence. -Communicate and present detailed estimates to project stakeholders. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Lead preconstruction activities for healthcare and other large complex projects from concept through GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price). -Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to develop accurate and comprehensive budgets and schedules. -Analyze project documents to evaluate risk and facilitate win strategies. -Task management, strategies, resource leveling and responsible for estimate close out processes.

What You Bring
-Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Applicant must be proficient with conceptual, parametric, hard bid and self-perform estimating. -Professional certifications (e.g., CHC, DBIA) accreditations preferred. -Results orientated with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. -Strong organizational and time management skills. -Proven track record of successfully delivering preconstruction services for hospitals, medical office buildings, outpatient facilities, or similar. -Ability to lead large estimates and lead multiple teams. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Ability to utilize computers, and experienced with Microsoft Office, Excel, On Screen takeoff, other estimating software programs. Willingness to learn new systems. Kiewit utilizes a proprietary estimating program, “InEight Estimate”. -Expert in alternative project delivery methods (e.g., Design Build, Design Assist, IPD) -Become proficient in Kiewit’s proprietary estimating platform., “In Eight Estimate”. -Passion for delivering exceptional preconstruction and estimating services. -Strong communication skills both in person and virtual. Strong work ethic and self-starter is a must. -Ability to work with limited instruction and implement successful action items. -Regular, reliable attendance -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. -Strong understanding of healthcare-specific building systems, codes, and compliance requirements (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, FGI Guidelines). -Must be detail oriented and technically sound with good communication skills. -Minimum of 8-10 years of preconstruction or estimating, with at least 5 years as the preconstruction manager in healthcare and or other large complex projects. -Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
