Equity Fund Specialist (construction) - UK

Description

The Equity Fund Specialist will play a vital role in identifying, communicating and convincing debt and equity investors for our growing pipeline of projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the senior team to assist in financial modelling, investor presentations, market research and contribute directly to the company’s capital-raising and investment strategy.

We are now looking to expand our Team with a Equity Funding Specialist who can support with the selection and financing of our new projects, especially new build BMV blocks that will be leased to Councils to be used as Temporary Accommodation.

• Evaluate equity structures, funding options, and project feasibility.
• Identify and approach potential equity partners and investors for new projects.
• Prepare competitor and sector benchmarking reports.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and respond to investor queries with accuracy and professionalism.
• Maintain and manage the investor CRM — track interactions, manage follow-ups, and record deal progress.
• Work closely with the Finance, Development, and Acquisitions teams to align funding needs with project pipelines.
• Prepare investment summaries and data-driven reports for senior management and board meetings.
• Support the team in identifying and analyzing new acquisition opportunities and potential joint venture deals.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models for current and potential projects, including cash flow projections, sensitivity analyses, and ROI modelling.
• Track the performance of funded projects and equity partnerships.
• Support senior management in preparing quarterly investor reports and financial updates.
• prepare investment memorandums, pitch decks, and funding proposals for investor presentations.
• Conduct market research on UK housing trends, comparable sales, yields, and macroeconomic indicators affecting real estate investment.

Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity for a finance, economics, or real estate graduate who is passionate about property investment, capital markets, and development finance.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with UK property development processes, funding models, and investor relations is desirable.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in property finance and development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and numerical ability.
• 1–2 years of experience in real estate investment, project finance, or capital markets in UK.
• Proactive and confident in liaising with investors and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent command of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a small, high-performance team.
• Strong understanding of financial modelling, DCF analysis, IRR calculations, and equity structuring.
