Overview

Assist welders/fabricators with material prep, tool operation, and general shop tasks.

Tasks

-Prepare materials by cleaning, grinding, cutting and organizing components for fabrication. -Load and unload materials, parts and equipment as directed. -Perform general labor duties such as sweeping, moving material or assisting in layout setup. -Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety policies. -Assist welders, fitters and fabricators with daily tasks in the shop or field. -Follow instructions from supervisors and contribute to overall team productivity. -Operate basic tools and equipment such as grinders, saws, drills and hand tools safely.

What You Bring

-Be at least 18 years old. -Be willing to submit to pre-hire, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing. -Have no criminal convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or acts of terrorism. -Willing to drive to make material deliveries. -Be willing to authorize a background check. -Be willing to authorize motor vehicle driving record checks. -Have high school diploma or equivalent. -Have an eye for quality and strong attention to detail. -Have strong basic math and measuring skills. -Have valid driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation. -Be able to pass welding tests for stick and flux core. -Be eligible to work in the United States. -Have good communication skills. -Be able to lift 50 lbs. -Planning and Problem Solving: Planning and problem solving should be utilized to achieve productivity.
