Data Centre Specialist – Security Systems

Overview

Lead design, integration, and commissioning of security systems for a Tier III/IV hyperscale data centre.

Tasks

-Support testing, commissioning, and operational readiness of all security systems. -Review and validate security system designs including access control, surveillance, and perimeter protection. -Participate in risk assessments and threat modelling exercises. -Oversee system integration with BMS and other facility management platforms. -Lead the technical delivery of security systems across design, installation, and commissioning phases. -Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and client security teams. -Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute Tier III/IV requirements and international security standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, TIA-942). -Ensure documentation, training, and handover to operations and security teams.

What You Bring

-Strong coordination, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills. -Ability to manage multi-vendor environments and complex system interfaces. -Deep understanding of data center security requirements, Tier certification standards, and regulatory frameworks. -10–15 years in security systems engineering or integration, with significant experience in data centers or critical infrastructure. -Expertise in access control, CCTV, biometric systems, intrusion detection, and system integration. -Experience with hyperscale data center projects and Tier III/IV certified facilities. -Degree in Electrical, Security Systems, or related field. Certifications such as PSP (ASIS), CPP, or equivalent are preferred. -Familiarity with cybersecurity integration and physical security convergence.
