Design and optimize daily fleet routes to ensure efficient, timely transportation.

Tasks
-Monitor real-time route progress and adjust routes as needed due to traffic, weather, road closures, or other disruptions -May require on-call availability or occasional field visits to coordinate with drivers -Communicate route changes or issues promptly to all relevant stakeholders -Ensure compliance with driver hours-of-service regulations, load limits, and company policies -Coordinate with dispatchers, drivers, and warehouse teams to ensure route plans are understood and executed efficiently -Analyze route performance and suggest improvements to reduce fuel costs, delivery times, and vehicle wear -Plan, create, and optimize daily routes for deliveries, pickups, or service appointments using routing software and GPS tools -Maintain accurate records of route assignments, delivery times, and deviations for reporting and compliance purposes -Collaborate with customer service teams to address route-related customer issues or delays -Provide support for onboarding and training drivers on route procedures and GPS/telematics systems

-Attention to Detail -Time Management -Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment -Proficiency with routing and GPS software (e.g., Roadnet, Omnitracs, Verizon Connect, Route4Me) -High-pressure environment with daily performance deadlines -Experience in route planning, dispatch, or fleet operations preferred -Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills -Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety practices -Geographic Knowledge -High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in logistics, transportation, or related field preferred -Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings or evenings if needed -Office-based environment with regular computer use -Excellent communication and coordination abilities -Real-Time Problem Solving
