Credit Assistant

Overview

Assist credit team with policy application, reviews, payments, and risk assessment.

Tasks

-Assists with verifying references to determine credit risk in customers -Resolve issues with yards and customers -Occasionally, will move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc. -Assists with posting customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions daily -Assists with keeping records of all delinquent accounts, incomplete files, and credit risks -Assists with applying for liens and monitoring the time cycle associated with them -Solicits payment on overdue accounts

What You Bring

-High school diploma or GED required -Proficiency in Microsoft Office -Must be able to problem solve and prioritize tasks -Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in. these situations. -Must be able to receive and analyze information -Communicate professionally, excellent verbal and written communication skills -Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur -1-3 years of related work experience -Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 80% of the time. -Ability to self-manage, show initiative, and solve problems -Must be a team player, possess good organizational and analytical skills, and demonstrate high integrity and attention to detail -Must be able to multitask -Demonstrated knowledge of credit-related laws, procedures, practices, and managing customer accounts -Must be able to operate basic office machinery. -Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks and deadlines -Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of sound judgement
