What You Bring

-Familiar with code versioning tools such as Git -Good interpersonal skills with a pleasant and can-do attitude -Methodical approach to problem solving -Familiar with 1 or more other server-side languages, such as Ruby, Python or PHP -Basic knowledge of Linux -Well organized -Familiar with REST-APIs -Able to work effectively to meet agreed timescales having considered and planned the project activities. -Experience in scalable server-side frameworks, such as, but not limited to Node.js -Familiar with Java -Basic knowledge of Cassandra NoSQL databases -Strategic thinker -Understand the principles of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems/servers -Familiar with building solutions that are optimized for speed and scalability -Able to work independently or within a team -Experience of building and reusable code libraries -Capable of driving ideas/projects forward -Experience designing user-responsive front ends and the associated back-end processing technologies to support them -Experience of developing applications hosted in an AWS platform -Excellent written and oral communication skills in English -Strong HTML5/CSS skills for front end presentation -Strong graphic design skills to assist with the front-end website development (Adobe suite or similar)
