The Role

Overview

Create CAD/Revit mechanical drawings and assist BIM coordination under supervision.

Tasks

-Revises coordination drawings as needed, clouding, and numbering any subsequent revisions under the direction of the Lead BIM Coordinator. -Works closely with the Lead BIM Coordinator during coordination meeting, making any changes to 3d models required from coordination meetings. -Reports and advise any discrepancies, unclear intent or missing information that will affect coordination to the Lead BIM Coordinator. -Reviews architectural, structural, and mechanical contract drawings as well as the mechanical specifications becoming familiar with the design and elements of the system. -Creates mechanical systems drawings utilizing architect generated dimensions and structural backgrounds under the supervision of the Lead BIM Coordinator/VDC Manager. -Review submittals for size, quantity and design ensuring they meet engineer requirements, fit in available space, under the supervision of the Lead BIM Coordinator. -Attends all trades clash coordination meetings and makes changes to 3d model under Lead Coordinators supervision.

What You Bring

-Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent. -Valid Driver’s License -Training or classes in CAD/Revit is preferred. -Ability to walk job sites. -Minimum 1 year’s CAD/Revit experience in plumbing and mechanicals. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Good basic computer skills. -AutoCAD/Revit fundamental software training. -Ability to read and interpret blueprints under the supervision of VDC Manager/Lead Coordinator. -Capable of climbing off/on equipment and ladders. -Good math ability.
