Facilities Technician, Train Maintenance

Tasks

-Repair locks and doors -Maintain a neat, professional appearance at all times. -Participate in company or external educational opportunities to enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities of the engineering department members. -Enter information in the property’s maintenance record system. -Perform duties within the required time frame as directed by the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician or Director. -Maintain inventory of lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and other building-related supplies and tools. -Respond to and complete work orders and PMs in a timely manner. Typical requests include: -Responsible for general maintenance and operational duties, including performance testing, maintenance, adjustment, and care of the following: -Proactively inspect grounds and building appearance and condition. -Monitor and review all Brightline communication channels, including our company intranet, bConnected, during work hours to ensure all company and department communications and notifications are promptly reviewed. -Inspect work performed by outside contractors to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations. -Perform all necessary mechanical maintenance and operational procedures to ensure maximum life and reliability of all mechanical systems.

What You Bring

-HVAC Auxiliary Systems -Must be able and willing to work any shift or on weekends and holidays based on operational needs as necessary. -HVAC Systems: Knowledge of DDC (direct digital controls) -Demonstrated expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and overall building construction, underscoring a robust technical background. -Proficient in construction and maintenance fields, including landscaping, facility operations, painting, basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. -Knowledgeable about general building systems and maintenance procedures. -3+ years of professional experience in building maintenance, or similar maintenance operations, preferably in railroad, manufacturing, or similar environments. -Effective in working with other maintenance technicians and following managerial instructions. -Skilled in operating motorized equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, pressure washers, and drills. -High School Diploma or GED required, some college, technical certification, or vocational training preferred. -Effective communicator adept at establishing rapport across all organizational levels, fostering productive relationships crucial for operational success. -Well-versed in safety protocols and regulations related to maintenance operations.  Wear personal protective equipment when required and necessary -HVAC Equipment: RTU (roof top unit), SCU (self-contained unit), Chillers, Boilers, Pumps -Strong focus on safety and attention to detail to consistently deliver high-quality work. -Good physical condition to handle the demands of the job, which may include working in various weather conditions and performing manual tasks. Capable of operating heavy machinery, lift, climb, push, pull and bend for extended periods frequently lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
