The Role

Overview

Assist applicants/tenants with housing eligibility, ensuring compliance and service.

Tasks

-Schedule and conduct applicant appointments; communicate application decisions clearly and professionally. -Monitor waitlists and property requirements. -Process and verify income and eligibility documentation to determine program qualifications. -Assist with new property lease-ups, including outreach and tracking -Serve as a knowledgeable and approachable resource for applicants and tenants throughout the application and recertification process. -Accurately maintain and update client information in housing software, ensuring confidentiality. -Collaborate with internal teams on compliance, reporting, and file audits.

-Customer Service Pro: You’ve mastered the art of providing excellent customer service and can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. -Culturally Competent: Ability to interact professionally and sensitively with culturally, and economically diverse clientele. -Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is a must. -Confidentiality Expert: You handle sensitive information with care and the highest industry standards for protection. -Certifications: Preferred; NAHASDA essentials or LIHTC certification training. If you’ve got it, great! If not, we’ll help you get it. -Education: An associate degree in business, property management, or other real estate-related field. Eligibility processing may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. -Valid Driver’s license. -Detail-Oriented: You can read, analyze, and interpret policies and procedures, related Federal and State regulations, and other compliance-related documents. -Experience: Four years of experience working in customer service. Housing or property management experience preferred.
