Overview

Install, retrofit, and service commercial HVAC systems and related components.

Tasks

-Repair and / or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring -Installation of low voltage wiring and basic controls -Operate company vehicle to complete projects within a specified territory -Installation of threaded gas piping -Installation of other HVAC systems including duct and electrical wiring -Complete required electronic reports and documentation daily on a handheld device -Retrofit and installation of commercial HVAC equipment including RTU’S, split systems, VRF & VRV, WSHP’S, Air cooled & water-cooled chillers ranging up to 300 tons -Field fabrication of duct as required by the project -Complies and promotes company Safety Policy -Installation of refrigerant piping

What You Bring

As an HVAC Service Project’s Installation Technician, you will work with our mechanical projects team to complete commercial mechanical equipment change out, retrofit and installation projects. Typical projects include installation, replacements and retrofits of HVAC equipment, sheet metal / ductwork, piping and other related materials and systems. Ability to travel out of town, as needed. -3 or more years of experience with commercial HVAC equipment retrofit and installation projects -OSHA 10 certification (the company will provide if needed) -EPA Universal certification -Excellent communication and customer service skills -Ability to Braze & soft solder copper pipe for water and refrigeration piping systems -Must be able to work independently with or without supervision - as well as collaboratively as part of a team to complete tasks within designated timeframes -Experience with water-cooled and chilled water systems -Experience with high and low voltage wiring of commercial HVAC equipment -Ability to pass a full background screening, MVR, and drug screening
