Tasks

-Coordinate with Food Service Director to ensure timely billing and collections as applicable -Working with the Food Service Director and staff to maintain food rotation in storage in order to minimize spoilage and waste -Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of projects and special events, attending when necessary -Complying with Food Safe and/or Serve Safe standards including the recording of all time temperature sensitive food items -Following all Health and Safety and sanitation policies and procedures as set by applicable legislation and company policies -Successfully balance providing front-line support while also overseeing the operation to ensure smooth consistent service achieving the corporate and franchise standards -Proper handling of equipment only by trained staff and notifying appropriate parties of malfunctioning or in need of repair equipment -Organize and schedule the logistics for daily operations, ensuring all preparation work is completed and waste is managed -Listens to customers (internal and external) and responds professionally to all questions and concerns, directing concerns to further levels of management as needed -Controlling portioning of food items to ensure recipe yield meets quantity and budget expectations -Assist with the hiring of staff to ensure a well-balanced, successful team is in place complying with corporate and franchise recruitment and hiring requirements -Complete regular workplace audits and inspections; health & safety, food safety, financial audits as required. -Analyze unit operational analytics and lead the implementation of change efforts to improve performance to meet or exceed standards -Identifying cost saving measures for logistics of operating the events o Provide cost saving recommendations regarding the budget -Ensure sufficient staffing levels on each shift to meet corporate and franchise requirements and standards; efforts will be required to maintain staffing levels in instances of absence -Motivate employees to meet goals and objectives as established by the Company and the franchise -When necessary, provide support to maintaining physical inventories, placing orders and help receive and stocking supplies, resolve discrepancies with suppliers, and escalate any and all issues unable to be resolved to the Food Service Director, Resident District Manager or District Manager -Responsible for the integrity of the cash flow process, ensuring staff are following all security procedures closely while performing periodic checks to ensure compliance -Ensure the sanitation of the work area and equipment, maintaining a clean working environment -Actively seek out and identify additional opportunities for business growth -Train and develop staff in proper procedures and best practices while also providing coaching to help staff members reach the next stage in their career development -Establish and implement food preparation schedules, creating an efficient, safe, and organized process -Implement new food service techniques (food preparation, food portioning…) and sales and marketing requirements as per the franchise operation -Respond to customer and client concerns and requests immediately, resolving any issues that may arise -Work with clients and customers to meet their needs/requests while staying within budgeted restrictions and adhering to all company practices and policies -Wearing and correctly using proper personal protective equipment (i.e., non-slip shoes, cut resistant gloves) -Ensure all staff are adhering to all required safety regulations and procedures including: -Maintain clear lines of communication and understanding between all parties including the Food Service Director, Resident District Manager, District Manager, and franchise brand representatives -Take steps to control the costs of the operation of the unit by taking measures such as: -Using proper techniques when using the tools, supplies, and equipment provided (i.e., knives, ovens, cleaning materials) -Handle the administrative duties including payroll functions, employee management, daily cash handling and reporting, budgeting, and other duties that may arise during the operation of the unit -Remain an ambassador of goodwill, ethics, and great client relations at all times on behalf of the Company -Ensure the you and your team have completed all mandatory corporate and franchise training requirements with training records available upon request -Supervise, coach, and provide feedback to staff based on job expectations and standards; providing corrective action when necessary

What You Bring

-Able to lead projects, forecast business needs, and identify and target growth opportunities -Superior communication skills in both verbal and written English -Reach and lift between 0-10 pounds from floor to shoulder height -Work accurately and in an efficient manner while managing multiple tasks and priorities -Five years of recent related experience in the food service industry, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Previous franchise brand experience and/or certification is an asset -Able to effectively handle the concerns of employees, customers, and clients with tact while adhering to confidentiality policies -Highly organized with a strong focus and commitment to quality -Frequent standing and walking required -ServeSafe and/or FoodSafe certified with thorough knowledge of all health and safety regulations pertaining to the food preparation/service industry -Able to effectively use a computer and all related software, including POS equipment -Able to operate all related equipment in a safe manner
