As a Project Engineer, serves as a technical specialist, staff advisor, and consultant to the civil engineering specialty for a given land/site development, public works, and/or transportation-related project or program function.
Sometimes need to put in extra hours, including weekends, to keep up with intense construction work at times and deal with unexpected situations and accidents.
Perform QA/QC of plans, calculations, specifications, and quantities developed by civil engineering and other project engineers as per IEI QA/QC plan.
Develops project teams for proposals, work pursuits, and establishes pursuing team relationships.

Participates in selecting design teams and sub-consultants and in the negotiations of fees and subcontractors.
