Tasks

-Prepare sites for installation, including working with roofing, electrical, and structural components. -Support team members by sharing technical knowledge and assisting with problem-solving during installations. -Follow Terra Energy’s safety protocols for working with electrical systems, solar equipment, and in various weather conditions. -Perform electrical wiring for solar systems, ensuring all connections are secure and meet safety and electrical standards. -Maintain accurate records of all electrical work, inspections, and repairs performed. -Complete Installation Reports -Submit reports and photos as required by management or the project team. -Work alongside other technicians and team members to coordinate installation efforts, ensuring that the project is completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. -Collaborate with the project manager and engineering teams to ensure site readiness and efficient workflows. -Help track inventory of installation materials and report any shortages or issues with supplies. -Ensure the proper setup, calibration, and testing of solar systems to guarantee optimal energy production and safety. -Educate customers on the operation and maintenance of their solar systems, providing them with the necessary knowledge to use and care for their installations. -Conduct site assessments to determine the best location for solar panels and system components based on customer needs and building specifications. -Track and Report Progress -Site Assessment and Preparation -Collaborate with Installation Team -Identify and address electrical system malfunctions, making repairs or adjustments as required to meet performance standards. -Perform testing of electrical systems to confirm proper operation and safety. -Communicate daily or weekly progress to the project manager or team lead, including updates on site readiness, installation status, and any potential delays. -Install solar panels, inverters, wiring, and electrical components according to Terra Energy’s established guidelines and industry standards. -Ensure a clean and safe work environment during and after installation, leaving the site in excellent condition for customers. -Perform installations for both residential and commercial projects, following detailed blueprints and site specifications. -Ensure all installations meet code requirements and are completed in compliance with industry best practices. -Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while performing installations, including using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring worksite safety. -Install AC and DC electrical components including inverters, disconnects, and grounding systems. -Install Solar Panels and Systems -Ensure that all installations comply with local building codes, electrical codes, and safety standards. -Document the details of each installation, including system configuration, equipment used, and any issues encountered during the installation process. -Troubleshoot and repair electrical and system issues as needed, ensuring system performance is optimized. -Perform routine maintenance and inspections of solar systems to ensure long-term functionality and safety. -Follow Safety Protocols -Maintain a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal regulations regarding solar installations and electrical systems. -Communicate with customers in a friendly, professional manner, addressing any concerns or questions they may have before, during, and after installation. -Provide Excellent Customer Service

What You Bring

-2+ years of experience in electrical installation, solar systems, or a related field. -Hands-on experience working with solar panel systems, inverters, electrical wiring, and other components of solar installations. -Education : High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or degree in electrical systems, renewable energy, or related field is a plus. -Comfortable working outdoors and in varied weather conditions. -Proficient in electrical wiring and system integration. -Solid understanding of solar energy systems and installation best practices. -Good communication skills and customer service orientation. -Ability to work well within a team and independently in the field. -Familiarity with local building codes, electrical codes, and safety regulations. -Previous experience in residential or commercial solar installation is preferred. -Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. -Strong work ethic and ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. -Safety-conscious, with a strong commitment to following proper procedures and protocols.
