Assist in developing cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects.

Tasks

-Collaborate with estimating team members to brainstorm and develop cost effective solutions to project challenges. -Achieve or exceed budgets individual utilization targets. -Assist in the development of detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including material, labor, equipment, and -Conduct project site visits to gather necessary data, including measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs. -Ensure projects comply with ISO standards. -Comply with all KCI policies and procedures. -Develop CAD drawings depicting construction methodology concepts. -Assist in the preparation of CPM project schedules. -Stay updated on industry trends, construction costs, and emerging technologies. -Perform detailed quantity take-offs for various project elements utilizing industry standard software. -Thoroughly review bid documents, plans, specifications, and project scope to accurately assess project requirements.

What You Bring

-Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. -Bachelor’s degree Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). -AutoCAD or MicroStation experience -Working knowledge of cost estimating software (HCSS HeavyBid or similar). -Working knowledge of common industry quantity takeoff software (Bluebeam Revu or similar). -Excellent public speaking, presentation, and interpersonal skills. -Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. -Previous internships or work experience in this industry. -Working knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software. -Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. -0-2 Years of experience within the heavy civil industry. -Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think criticall -Good communication and technical writing skills.
