Forklift Operator

Overview

Operate forklift to load/unload, stage shipments, manage inventory, and ensure accurate shipping.

Tasks

-Efficiently process paperwork. -Assuring no damaged items are sent or received. -Input information into ERP system using scan gun. -Operate and maintain a forklift license. -Work with S&OP manager to maintain daily requirements loading trucks. -Load and unload flatbed trailers and containers. -Stage and inspect loads for shipment. -Cycle counts on yard inventory. -Follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions. -Keep all inventory 5s at all times. -Comparing picking list to product to ensure correct material is being used. -Hand stacking, wrapping, and strapping of molding. -Staging and loading orders at the direction of S&OP manager. -Wear all required personal protective equipment (footwear, hearing, and vision)

What You Bring

-Ability to lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds -Strong organizational skills, detailed oriented, self-motivated, and ability to multi-task -Ability to maneuver oversized material in tight areas using a multi directional forklift. -1-2 years' experience in a relevant field -Be able to lift 50 lbs. -Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions -Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders -Familiarity with safety programs -Ability to move or traverse about the facilities -Be able to effectively communicate to management with any problems. -Strong professional communication skills, both oral and in writing. -High School Diploma or equivalent -Valid Driver’s License -Excellent eye hand coordination. -High visibility vest or uniform. -Prolonged standing or in a stationary position -Available to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule with overtime available. -Must be a to work 12-hour shift.
