Partner with directors to manage financial performance of strategic infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Independently solve problems and management priorities – the role of an FBP will vary month to month to adapt to competing priorities as they arise. -Work with the SI Onshore project teams to provide independent review and challenge on key financial matters, including budget setting, forecasting and performance management. Attend and present at multidisciplinary Project Boards / Portfolio Boards as a subject matter expert. -Stakeholder management – liaise with other teams in NGET to effectively communicate matters relating to the Onshore portfolio, including Investment Accountants, PMO, regulations, risk and controllership. -Lead on key initiatives within the FBP team as we look to embed in new processes and controls to improve our financial management as the investment levels increase.

What You Bring

-Experience in communicating both finance and non-finance matters to senior management / SI Exec members. -Commercially minded with a focus on driving what really matters for business success, as well as an ability to identify and understand key financial risks. -Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across the organisation. -Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience working in a matrix team structure. -Skilled business partner who supports financial performance and isn’t afraid to challenge decisions when needed.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance with on target being 15% (with a maximum of 30%) and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. This role can be based out of our Warwick office, and we’d hope to see you at least two days per week but you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you.
