MicroStation Designer - Geotechnical/Transportation

Overview

Draft and design geotechnical site maps, soil logs, retaining walls, etc., using MicroStation.

Tasks

-This position primarily involves computer aided drafting of site maps, soil boring logs, soils boring location diagrams, and soil boring profiles -Work closely with project managers, project engineers, designers, and other draft technicians -Ensure that project needs are met in a timely and effective manner -Coordinates with multiple design disciplines and various team members for design and coordination of major projects and deliverables -Transform initial rough designs/sketches and redlines/mark-ups into finished graphics/construction/inspection drawings Improve communications through documentation -Ensure adherence to established company or client stated MicroStation standards -Assists with plan assembly duties from the direction of engineering staff -Additional responsibilities include drafting engineering details and figures -Other responsibilities may include generating design drawings for retaining walls, reinforced slopes, foundation systems, drainage systems, or other engineering drawings

What You Bring

-Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MicroStation -High School or GED required, technical degree, diploma, certificate or equivalent in related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred -Experience drafting and designing retaining walls, reinforced slopes, foundation design, and other related drawings
